FAQ
What is a vape?
An vape or e-cigarette is a device that heats a liquid to produce an aerosol, commonly referred to as vapor, which the user inhales. Vapes are often used as an alternative to traditional tobacco cigarettes, with the goal of providing a similar experience while potentially reducing some of the harmful effects associated with smoking combustible tobacco.
Key Components of an vape:
- Battery: Powers the device, often rechargeable.
- Atomizer/Coil: Heats the e-liquid to create vapor.
- E-Liquid (or Vape Juice): A liquid that usually contains nicotine, flavorings, and a base (propylene glycol and/or vegetable glycerin). Some e-liquids do not contain nicotine.
- Mouthpiece: The part where the user inhales the vapor.
- Cartridge/Tank/Pod: Holds the e-liquid.
How does an vape work?
An vape works by heating a liquid (called e-liquid or vape juice) to create a vapor that the user inhales. It has a battery that powers a heating coil (atomizer), which heats the e-liquid stored in a cartridge or tank. The liquid usually contains nicotine, flavorings, and a vapor base (propylene glycol and/or vegetable glycerin). When the liquid is heated, it turns into a vapor that mimics smoking but doesn’t involve burning tobacco. Users inhale the vapor through a mouthpiece, delivering nicotine and flavor without traditional cigarette smoke.
Are there nicotine free vapes?
Yes, there are nicotine-free vapes available. Ezee offers almost all our products in a nicotine free variant. These devices work the same way as regular vapes, but the e-liquid used in them does not contain nicotine.
How long does a vape last?
The lifespan of an vape depends on the type and how you use it:
- Disposable Vapes: Usually last for 300–600 puffs, which is 1–2 days for moderate use.
- Rechargeable Vape Batteries: Can last 1–2 days per charge. The battery itself may last for several months to years with proper care.
- E-Liquid: A tank or pod of e-liquid typically lasts 1–2 days, depending on how often you vape.
Why choose a vape?
People may choose vapes for several reasons:
- Smoking Alternative: Vapes are often used as an alternative to traditional cigarettes, offering a similar experience without burning tobacco.
- Potentially Less Harmful: While not risk-free, e-cigarettes generally produce fewer harmful chemicals compared to smoking.
- Control Over Nicotine: Users can choose e-liquids with varying levels of nicotine or even nicotine-free options.
- Less Smoke and Odor: Vapes produce vapor, not smoke, which tends to have less odor and dissipates quickly.
- Smoking Cessation Tool: Some people use e-cigarettes to gradually reduce nicotine intake and quit smoking entirely.
While vapes may have benefits for smokers trying to quit, they are not completely safe. It's important to weigh the risks and consult health professionals if considering vapes as a smoking alternative.
What are the ingredients?
Vapes use a liquid (e-liquid) that contains the following ingredients:
- Propylene Glycol (PG): A liquid that provides a "throat hit" similar to smoking.
- Vegetable Glycerin (VG): A thicker liquid that creates more vapor.
- Nicotine (Optional): Found in varying strengths, or the e-liquid can be nicotine free.
- Flavorings: Food-grade flavors, like fruits, menthol, or desserts.
Some e-liquids may have small amounts of other additives.
